This ring was made with the sand casting technique. This technique is known to leave traces in the material and thus provide a charming surface to the jewellery. The onix with its smooth and reflective surface is a very elegant stone and provides an interesting contrast to the ring design.

About sand casting: A model is cast in a sand mold. The remaining cavity is filled with molten silver. Since the mold can only be used once, unique pieces are created.
